The Hawks Run Home 5k is a new annual event for Homecoming this year! Open to campus and our Iowa City Community, the Hawks Run Home 5k is a philanthropic 5k in support of Stead Family Children's Hospital. Registration is $5 and proceeds will be donated to Stead Family Children's Hospital. A limited amount of 5k t-shirts will be sold on the day of the event. I, like almost all, had never been in attendance when a player hit his 60th home run of the season.

There is also an annual Kid's Fun Run (0.25mi) which takes place after the 5k finishes up. The main event is virtual, but this year we will be offering a Tour de Bethesda portion, where registrants can join us for an in-person walking tour of our sites.
